Drake State Joins the Cluster Initiative

As the Director of Workforce Development at J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College, I am excited to assist your organization meet the challenges associated with today’s workforce initiatives.

Drake State is committed to serving its community as the primary provider of workforce development, education and training. Through its Workforce Development Division, the college provides a number of services and programs designed to deliver workforce development for employers located in the college's service area. These programs are encompassed in three divisions:

• Training for Existing Business and Industry (TEBI) – Customized Training Programs
• Workforce Training – Open Enrollment Certification Courses
• Adult Continuing Education (ACE) Programs

In addition, Drake State would like to partner with organizations as they begin to solicit SBIR and/or STTR contracts. Aligning your company with a training organization such as Drake State demonstrates your committed to provide incumbent worker training that meets the contractual requirements for employee skills, technology implementation and governmental standards. Partnering with Drake State will add value and possibly points to your organizations contract proposals, as defined by Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act. This may assist your organization to qualify for DOD or NASA contracts.
